Launching in October, to commemorate black history month, Writing on the Wall launched the Great War to Race Riots book. Written by WoW's co-director, Madeline Heneghan and local writer, Emy Onoura, the book details the documents within the archives, it gives stories to some of the men within the archive, and discusses the impact the Race Riots had on Liverpool following 1919.

Another key aspect of this black history month mini festival was the Great War to Race Riots walking tour which started at the Chinese Arch and walked the streets featured in the archives, including the docks where Charles Wotten was murdered, until it came to a stop at Toxteth Library where a fraction of the archive currently resides.

The Great War to Race Riots book is available to buy in Liverpool's News From Nowhere or from Writing on the Wall's office.
